April 6, 2007 Sharon
Porter-Phillips Participated in the Bloomington High School North career fair
hosted by The Franklin Initiative. She
shared information with students
about a career in radio broadcasting. Her
professional perspective enlightened students to make a relevant connection
between current schoolwork
and a possible future career in radio.
April 23, 2007 Sharon Porter-Phillips served on
the Chambers Franklin Initiative career panel at Bloomington High School South.
Presented, discussed and encouraged possible
careers in broadcasting with the students.
Answered question from the students and
handed out literature
concerning WVNI and other Mid-America Stations
April 27,
2007 Kenny Ray Participated in the
students about a career in radio broadcasting. His professional perspective enlightened
students to make a relevant connection between current schoolwork and a possible future career in
radio. Also let the students experience an actual commercial recording.
May-July 2007 Participated in the annual IBA
Scholarship Program-Purpose to
encourage High School and College students in our area to
pursue a career in
radio & television broadcasting and to
attract potential future employees.
July 19, 2007 Steven LaMar participated in Indiana Black Expo/Job Fair in
