Apple Crumb Pie, by Charlene Petersen Brazil (handed down from my Mother-in-law)

Sliced apples to fill pie crust, 1 cup sugar (divided), 1 tsp cinnamon, 3/4 cub flour, 1/3 cup real butter
Fill unbaked pie shell with sliced apples, sprinkle with mixture of 1/2 cub sugar and cinnamon.  Mix 1/2 xcup sugar and 3/4 cup flour; cut in 1/3 cup butter.  Spoon topping over apples and bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes more.  This is best with a home-made pie crust.  Serve warm with cheddar cheese and/or vanilla ice cream
